Toyota Announces Manufacturing Executive Changes

ERLANGER, Ky. (May 2, 2011) – Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) announces the following senior management changes, effective immediately:

• Shigeki Terashi, 57, has been named TEMA’s president and chief operating officer. Mr. Terashi will be dual capped as president of TEMA and the Toyota Technical Center (TTC) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Previously, he was executive vice president of TEMA and president of TTC.

• Mr. Terashi replaces Tetsuo Agata, 58, who will return to Japan for a new assignment.

• Kazuhiro Miyauchi, 54, has been named TEMA’s executive vice president of purchasing, production control and logistics control. Previously, he served as managing officer for Toyota Motor Corporation’s purchasing project management and unit parts division.
