Vipin Gupta is group vice president and chief information officer of Toyota Financial Services (TFS). He reports to Mark Templin, president and CEO of TFS.
In this role, Gupta leads the TFS’ Digital and Information technology strategy, development, and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences, business innovation, and efficiency. He also coordinates TFS’ digital and technology efforts with Toyota affiliates around the globe.
Before Toyota, Gupta served as executive vice president and chief information officer for Key Community Bank, a business unit of KeyBank, where he drove client-centric transformation with speed-through digital banking transformation, legacy system reimagination, business innovation, agile practices, and forging FinTech partnerships.
Prior to KeyBank, Gupta served as business information officer at PNC/National City Bank. Before that, he was a partner and practice leader at Capgemini and Ernst & Young, where he focused on e-business transformation and innovation for large global financial services institutions. Most notably, he was instrumental in launching Capgemini’s first SEI CMM 5 delivery center. He also led Capgemini’s global banking customer innovation practice.
Early in his career, Gupta served in NIIT’s global consulting business. At NIIT he helped deliver large manufacturing business transformation, deployed first mobile device application for a pharmaceutical and designed rapid software engineering methodology.
Gupta has been recognized for his results-oriented innovation-enabling leadership in Information Technology and Financial Services business. He was also honored by CIO magazine as a standout winner in innovation.
He holds a Master of Computer Applications degree in computer science and business management from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India.
