Vipin Gupta is group vice president and chief information officer of Toyota Financial Services (TFS). He reports to Mike Groff, president and CEO of TFS.
In this role, Gupta leads the company’s information technology strategy, development, and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences, business innovation, and efficiency. He also coordinates TFS’ technology efforts with Toyota Motor North America, as well as with other Toyota affiliates across North America and around the globe.
Before Toyota, Gupta served as executive vice president and chief information officer for Key Community Bank, a business unit of KeyBank, where he drove client-centric transformation with speed-through core legacy system reimagination, digital innovation, agile practices, and forging FinTech partnerships. Prior to KeyBank, Gupta served as business information officer at PNC/National City Bank. He also launched multiple digital businesses and was a consulting practice leader at Capgemini and Ernst & Young, where he focused on transformation and innovation in customer management for large global financial services institutions. Most notably, he was instrumental in launching Capgemini’s first SEI CMM 5 delivery center. Early in his career, Gupta served in NIIT Ltd., deploying one of the first mobile device applications for a global pharmaceutical sales team.
Gupta has been recognized for his results-oriented and innovation-enabling leadership in IT, and was honored by CIO magazine as a standout winner in innovation. He holds a Master of Computer Applications degree in computer science and business management from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India.
