Jason Puckett is vice president of Manufacturing for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Inc. (TMMI) in Princeton, Ind. He is responsible for all production, plant engineering, Toyota Production System (TPS) and maintenance operations at the plant that manufactures the Toyota Sienna, Sequoia, Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
He was previously general manager of body weld, stamping and new projects at TMMI, where he was responsible for all vehicle mass production, from steel coil delivery to the paint process. His automotive career began as a co-op during college at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) in Georgetown, Kentucky. Puckett spent a short time at Ford Motor Company’s Lima, Ohio, plant as a manufacturing engineer before being hired as an assembly specialist in 1997 at TMMI, where he assisted in the initial start of production.
During his tenure, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in production management at TMMI, including assembly assistant manager and manager, new project manager, production control assistant general manager and general manager.
In 2015, Puckett moved to Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) in Erlanger, Kentucky, where he served as general manager for corporate strategy. He was promoted into his current position in December 2016.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Evansville.
