Sandy Lobenstein is vice president of connected strategy and product planning for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and executive vice president, business planning and strategy for Toyota Connected.
Lobenstein oversees the connected vehicle technologies, cross carline planning, vehicle pricing and affiliate planning departments at TMNA as well as the business development at Toyota Connected.
Specifically, the connected vehicle technologies department is responsible for the strategy and planning of audio and multimedia products as well as the development, engineering and operations of TMNA’s telematics services for the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
The Cross carline department is responsible for the planning of electronics products as well as vehicle color and materials. The pricing department is responsible for establishing pricing strategies for the U.S. and Puerto Rico markets through the development of market price positioning and profit models. The affiliates planning group supports our distributors in the development of pricing and product strategies for the Mexican and Puerto Rican markets.
Prior to his current role, he served as corporate manager for vehicle pricing and cross carline product planning where he oversaw the cross carline and pricing departments for Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands.
Since beginning his career at Toyota in 1990, Lobenstein has held a variety of roles at Toyota Motor Sales headquarters in the Torrance, Calif., and Toyota Division field offices, including district manager of the Los Angeles Region, product marketing manager for Toyota trucks and product planning manager for Lexus and Toyota.
Lobenstein holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University and an MBA from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
