Michael Bevan is vice president of global sales operations support - USA, part of the “Best in Town” (BIT) Group headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. He is responsible for working with emerging market distributors, including: Brazil, India, Peru, and Columbia, to enhance their organization and operational performance.
In his role, in conjunction with the Sales Operation Support Group in Japan, he oversees the facilitation of U.S. based knowledge building, including: dealer network strategies, distributor operations, digital strategies, customer experience, process improvement, and sharing of global best practices with distributors’ sales organizations.
Prior to that, Bevan was general manager of the Lexus Western Area, responsible for all distributor-related activities in the 12 Western States and 64 Lexus Dealers.
Previously, he was corporate manager-private distributors and public companies at TMS. In the private distributor role, he was responsible for all aspects of distributor relations and aligning business goals between TMS and Toyota's two private distributors (Gulf States Toyota and Southeast Toyota). In the public company role, he managed relationships with the various public companies, and worked to align both corporate and individual dealer goals with both groups.
Since joining Toyota in 1983, Bevan has held a number of management positions at both Toyota's headquarters in Torrance, California and in various regional offices, including: corporate manager of market representation (RMD), assistant general manager for the San Francisco Region, national fleet sales manager, field operations manager for the Boston Region, and national auto show manager.
A graduate of the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pa., Bevan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education - Social Studies.
